We have been going to Nobles since we first moved to Leith, over 2 years ago. We had brunch there last month and their glorious Pork Belly Benedict is still very memorable as one of the best dishes we’ve had for breakfast.

If you’ve not heard of these guys, you’re missing a trick. Not only are they coffee experts come micro roasters (since 2016), they have a gorgeous little courtyard complete with hanging fairy lights and plenty of seating. P.s can we just take a moment to appreciate that arty flat white?
This coffee smelt so good it even had Penny’s interest.

We stopped off on our walk down Commercial Quay for a mid afternoon coffee at Quay Commons and were not disappointed. The coffee is served in very cute earthenware cups, and we even managed to enjoy their outside seating area thanks to the ‘Scottish summer’ weather we were experiencing.
Quay Commons also has a selection of fresh fruit and veg to take home, as well as the most tempting cakes and pastries.
Finn & Bear
I couldn’t talk about coffee in Leith without mentioning Finn & Bear. Our go to order at brunch o’clock is a cappuccino as well as one of their fresher than fresh orange juices, and it is fab. Their even serving bottomless coffee with every breakfast during the week between 10AM and 12PM.

On days that I’m not working in the office I always seem to find myself here for a good few hours instead. It’s just round the corner from our flat and their coffees are to die for, not to mention their ever growing selection of delicious pastries and cakes. Their lunch menu is also something I’d recommend trying at least once, especially their chicken & avocado wrap.
Always one for some Latte Art
